Responsible for all Marketing and PR for ChannelAdvisor International across all product platforms.
* Developed and rolled out new brand positioning, messaging and marketing campaigns for ChannelAdvisor and its products in Germany and the UK
* Pitched, selected and managed PR agencies both in the UK and Germany, resulting in press coverage in all major nationals and relevant verticals
* Created and established ChannelAdvisor Marathon conference and ChannelAdvisor Insite & Academy events; Marathon is now the leading annual UK multi-channel eCommerce conference
* Founded German affiliate program with major network partners; program became quickly one of the main sources for new customers
* Successfully established ChannelAdvisor as thought leader through unique combination of marketing & PR channels
* Increased marketing reach 3x - 5x
* Built, led and hired for marketing department with five employees
* Full budget responsibility, creation of first company-wide marketing ROI analysis
* Responsible for strategic direction, planning and execution...

The four biggest factors in my opinion (in order of priority) are (a) a passion for eCommerce and customers, (b) a can-do attitude (leave your box behind), (c) focus and (d) the ability to pick up stuff fast.

Knowledge and experience are important, but this is a somewhat new and dynamic industry so it is more important to get the right person with conviction and integrity....
