What's the secret to getting hired at charlotte-mecklenburg schools?

My experiences with educating children helps me realize the need for educators like me that care enough to give the professional career time to educating children from all backgrounds. What's the secret to getting hired at charlotte-mecklenburg schools?

Currently my besy secret to getting hired is the fact that I have taught in the CMS system for 28 years and enjoyed my great experiences and now I would like to continue to use my expertise as a substitute teacher. My last employment was at East Meck. H.S. and they are requesting that I come and substitute as early as the first week of school. I look forward to being able to give back where I'm needed at any of the CMS schools.
Please give the details of how I can become a certified substitute as soon as possible.
Respectfully,
Chanslar L. Chavis

What's the secret to getting hired at charlotte-mecklenburg schools?

To be hired to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, applicants must be sure to complete all the neccessary applications and paperwork. This includes completing the state application (through the NC Department of Public Instruction) and the local application (located on the CMS website). CMS posts current and even future positions on its websites. After submitting the applications and other paperwork, if an applicant sees a position he or she is interested in, then he/she should contact the school to find out who they should speak to about the position, then send their resume and cover letter to this contact person. CMS is a large school district and school administrators look to fill open positions as soon as possible.... read more
