How would you describe what you did at clemson university?

I achieved my degree in English while minoring in secondary education. I earned my general honors certificate and maintained a high GPA throughout school, graduating with a cumulative GPA of 3.82. I was also highly involved in Gamma Sigma Sigma, a service sorority, by being elected vice president of my pledge class and later vice president of the whole sorority. One of my proudest achievements was being voted "most dependable" by my pledge class. While studying full-time I also worked to pay for many of my expenses.... read more

Worked with several departments, including computer science, on business presentations and developing custom software. Developed an AI expert system for peach orchard farmers based upon the EMYCIN knowledge-rule based medical AI program. Scripted and then storyboarded business presentations using PC Storyboard and custom software. Developed neural network technology for naval recon units and then did upgrades and updates using wavelet technology. Developed several biological simulation programs to teach high school and undergraduate students basic biological principles. Developed a program to control the ph level of water in a tank using photosynthesis. Developed a windowing environment for HP48SX and HPGX calculators. Developed a messaging and conferencing program on BITNET. Created a file transfer protocol across several computer systems with different operating systems. How would you describe what you did at clemson university?

Supervised ten Masters students, two PhD students, three post-doctoral associates and influenced the intellectual development of thousands of undergraduate students.

Created and taught new courses in thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, numerical methods, energy and material balances,
computer programming, technical communications, laboratory procedures and data analysis.

Author or coauthor of numerous technical papers on molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo methods and their use to study thermophysical properties of fluids and fluid mixtures. Research supported by the National Science Foundation, Petroleum Research Fund of American Chemical Society, Research Corporation, NATO.

Developed a hierarchical model for learning and applied the model to education of engineering students. Evolution of this model is documented in a series of papers
published in "Chemical Engineering Education"; the model served as basis for funding from National Science Foundation.
