* Management
o Spearheaded the team of 7 technical leads in architecture, low level design, coding, code reviews, testing, bug fixing & rollouts to Production.
o Responsibilities involved Resource allocation, Task prioritization, monitoring progress, managing risk, Hiring, coaching,
goal-setting, performance reviews.
o Actively supported offshore teams to streamline the delivery process
o Closely worked with other development teams (QA, Product Management & Ops.) to achieve common goals.
o Directly responsible for 7 - 8 projects at any point of time
o Came up with new process guidelines for merging the feature branches to MAIN trunk in ClearCase
o Administered TrackIt (Issue tracking system built on top of Bugzilla)

* Technology
o Extensively worked on eBay proprietary architectural frameworks (similar to JMS & Hibernate)
o Undertook Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning, Code Reviews, Bug fixing, Production debugging
o Specialized in automation. Wrote automated scripts using HttpUnit & Apache ANT for testing the new APIs
o Wrote Unix shell scripts for automating Batch job task
o Extremely familiar with eBay's application architecture to handle heavy traffic

What are the three best things about working at eBay?

1. The people: eBay is filled with incredibly smart and talented people. It's inspiring.

2. The product: When you work at eBay, you don't have to explain what the company does. It's eBay! Plus, they've got a great product with very passionate users. Every design decision that is made impacts
millions of people. That's powerful.

3. The people: Okay, so I already said people, but I am repeating it for emphasis. Working with such a talented bunch really raises your game. I learned a lot from my colleagues.

eBay is a very fast-paced environment that demands high quality results. The most challenging aspect of working at eBay was keeping quality high while producing a large amount of work in a very short period of time.
