Experiences at ettain group

My experience with Ettain Group was literally a nightmare. My contact David Ekle does not even answer anymore my emails. They provided me with a job in Greensboro (New Breed Corp) and they did not even understand what the company really wanted as System Administrator. For this reason, I lost that job after only 2 days, without even having the opportunity to screw up. The hiring company, if we can say so, interviewed me only by phone. Avoid this company like plague. Of 9 posts here, one is probably legitimate, the other 8 come from the same person. Think people, think....

Position involved working with business development, project management, information architects and developers throughout creative process to achieve a successful product and experience for a diverse list of clients....

I learned a ton about technologies that I would otherwise have had no idea existed; I learned how to think critically and analytically; and I learned how to negotiate and control a conversation.

The people and the tight-knit feel of the office.

Recruiting from the PIT--high energy, busy, loud, and social.

Slacks and button downs for the gents. Skirts or pants and a nice shirt for the ladies.

Opportunity for growth at ettain group is unlimited. The growth curve there is so much steeper than at most companies because it's still in the early stages of its expansion. It's very much still a company where everyone knows of everyone else and there is a communal feeling between offices. A recruiter can get into sales within 6 months, and go forward from there....

I was interviewing a candidate and left the room to get my boss so that he could meet her as well. While i was talking to him, i was tossing a snowglobe in the air and i dropped it, smashing it all over his carpeted rug. So I started cleaning up all the glitter from the carpet, and the next thing I knew my pants split right up the backside. I had to leave the office to go home and change, so I im'd my boss telling him what happened and where i was going. On my way back into the office, the candidate was leaving, and she just smiled at me a bit awkwardly. I walked into the office and everyone started laughing at me and my boss confessed that he had to tell her because my IM made him laugh so hard that he couldn't stop when he was saying goodbye to her, and he didn't want her to think he was laughing at her. Quite embarassing.......

1) The people.
2) The company size and opportunity for growth.
3) The work environment -- not a pressure cooker like a lot of other staffing firms.

I was heavily involved in recruiting for my fraternity and all fraternities university-wide while in college. I had put this on my resume and was contacted by some recruiting firms. Of those, ettain group was the most appealing because it was a start up, the GM of the office, Ian Jones, is an awesome guy, and the company itself has that "underdog" atmosphere that I generally enjoy. They were also the only company that asked me "what I was looking for" during the interview--that resonated with me....
