General pre-major classes

ECC was the beginning of my art life. I took numerous tests for aptitude, personality type, educational readiness and abilities. There were three fields indicated that I would do well in. Since I am physically unable to do construction work and I really didn't want to be a nurse, Graphic Design was the default choice!

We learned from professionals in the field, teachers that own businesses and work in addition to their teaching career. I learned the Creative Suite 2, Photoshop, Illustrator InDesign and Corel Painter 10. I learned about TEXT as a Design Element, what colors go where and with what and I learned that less is more. The use of White Space and negative space as an element of design.

I have been happier doing this type of work than I have ever been before. I bring my PASSION for Good Design to my next employer!...

Studied the basics of QuarkXPress, Photoshop CS & CS2, Illustrator CS, some training in InDesign and lots of practice with page layouts, magazine construction and design,classes in typography as well as art history, drawing and illustration.
I earned my AA in Graphic Design in June.

General studies.

Major emphasis was taking prerequisites for Medical Imaging. I was trying to broaden my experience by further education.
