What are the most challenging aspects of your job at faegre & benson?

It was a huge challenge to track the relationship between applications and databases. Where an application can have many files associated with them, their is no framework to help track that relationship. Working with the two professional programmers, we developed a process for associating files with applications, then used that to track which applications used any of the databases we were migrating.

And the migration process was both complex and challenging, and I loved every minute of it. Great company, solid people, good manager/leaders. Would be an honor to work with them again.

How would you describe what you did at faegre & benson?

Worked to migrate Access databases that were apart of a huge intranet, into 1 Sql Server 2000 Database.
In addition, had to convert all the coldfusion applications for each database to new mssql standards.
Had to create documentation method to track which appications used which databases.

What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at faegre & benson?

Trying to deal with coming up with solutions, that no one had thought of. Trying to take current code, and make a documentation structure out of it.
