What was your major and how applicable is it to your position at federal aviation administration?

My major at MTSU was in Aerospace Administration. Many aspects of college training were very helpful with my job responsibilities at the FAA.

How did you find your job at federal aviation administration?

My college, MTSU and the FAA had a co-op program for students wanting to get work experience while still going to school. Co-op students would alternate semesters working and going to school during their junior and senior years. It took longer to graduate this way, but it was worth it when I was hired to work full-time for the FAA during my senior year of college.... read more

How would you describe what you did at federal aviation administration?

I worked at a Flight Service Station. My major job responsibility was to conduct preflight and inflight weather briefings I was responsible for initiating and conducting search and rescue procedures. I had a thorough knowledge of aviation weather. It was my job to "paint a picture with words" so that the pilot would know what to expect along his/her route of flight. I trained others in topics such as sexual harassment and diversity. I was the Plans and Procedures for awhile.... read more
