Experiences at golden corral

I was working two jobs at the time, one as a part-time cook at Golden Corral, when my manager approached me and asked me to join his management team. His logic was "why work 2 jobs and make 1/2 the money, when you can work all of your hours at one job and get paid twice as much for it". I could not refute the logic and joined the team....

Effectively controlled labor through writing tight schedules and working positions.
Effectively controlled food cost by taking charge of all inventories and ordering along with receiving all deliveries.

It was pretty easy. Bring customers clean plates for the buffet line and refill their drinks. If they asked for something specific such as a high chair or something for their 2 year old to play with, you fulfilled their requests. The more you do for your section of customers, the more you make in tips!...

Have a fantastic personality.

I enjoyed working for Golden Corral it paid well and the people were enjoyable to work for, I have been placed as a rehire if I would like to go back. I decided I wanted to back and get my paralegal degree.

I would make sure my area would have clean plates, silverwear, made sure evrything would fine with there food and kept filling up there cups with drinks, after hours i would have to sweep my area, wipe down tables,re-filled napkins & bar-b-que sauce.
