What profession other than yours would you like to try hastings?

I would like to try accounting. I had owned my own child care a few years back, and was taking care of my own books except the taxes.

Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you hastings?

My grandmother. She has taught me so much in my life. How to be friendly to others, how to work, and be the best you can be. Also, that your never too young or too old to learn new things.

What's your ideal role within an organization hastings?

My ideal role within an organization is to be an accountant; but without a degree, or the money for a degree, I would love to be either a front desk clerk at a Motel, or a supervisor.

What's the interview process like at hastings?

You speak to a manager, and if you have any experience its very helpful. If you don't have any experience, but are upfront with them; and are willing to learn, I'm sure you could get hired right away.

What was your major and how applicable is it to your position at hastings?

My major was my attitude towards others. It was very applicable because it helped me move up in the company. Even if it was just one step up.

What was the main reason for accepting your job (location, opportunity, money) at hastings?

At first it was because I needed a job, but then it ended up that I just didn't need them, they needed me as well!

How long did it take for you to land your job at hastings?

I landed the cashier job immediately, then the Front Counter Team Leader took awhile because I was debating if I should go for it or not. Glad, and thankful I did because I became Fromt Counter Team Leader immediately.

What do you miss most about hastings?

I miss the people, and the opportunity to continue to grow with the store. I pray that I can find another job that will allow me to grow like Hastings did.

What are people reading at hastings?

Their reading new novels, mysteries, crime books. You can find almost anything type of book there. If we don't have it in the store, we can order for you. It takes a couple weeks, but worth it.
