Experiences at jetblue airways

Most of my calls were from customers simply booking flights. We would search for flights and fares that would work for the individual. However, when a weather situation would result in delays and cancellations the calls would be about anything from baggage to ground transportation to finding local hotels for stranded customers....

The secret to getting hired at JetBlue would be persistance. When I applied the average time it took from application to starting date was two months. I was very persistant and flexible with my schedule enabling me to start training within three weeks of the date I applied. Also, being friendly, enthusiastic, and articulate helps to speed things up....

* Integral member of the advertising and promotions team, planned and lead the execution of promotional sponsorships and events at various locations and venues throughout the United States. Included heavy
interaction with clients and on the spot coordination of advertising activities at large scale events.
* Researched the college student market and developed a plan for effective interaction between the airline and the college market, presenting plan to airline marketing executives.
* Completed an in-depth competitive analysis detailing the activities of other airlines and companies targeting
similar markets. Using this analysis I developed recommendations meant to enhance the image of the brand...

In my time at JetBlue I have watched it go from a small rebel airline with a plan to one of the most respected brands in America. All along the way i have had pportunities to:

1. Work on and often lead challenging and relevant software development projects that have contributed to it's growth and success.
2. Take on new, challenging roles. (Developer, Architect, Program Management)
3. Directly interact with and plan software solutions for the JetBlue leadership whose business decisions helped make JetBlue the respected brand that it is today....
