I connected daily with students and saw that they felt safe and satisfied by their Residence Life experience. I also worked within a small staff to ensure that we had quality students that worked for us such as RA's and desk workers. I was part responsible for hiring and training of a staff of 28 people every year....

Being able to work independently as well as in a group setting. A positive personality and an understanding of students and the issues that they face. It also helps to be prepared to get your hands into alot of different things. At a small school sometimes it's all hands on deck, regardless of the department you work in....

I work in the Department of Residential Life as a Hall Director. I am responsible for the daily operation of a 130 bed building and all that is entailed with that. I also over see two student groups and am responsible for a budget of over $5,000.

I networked myself with many different organizations. I was co editor of the school paper. I worked for many other organizations on and off campus.
