Experiences at middle tennessee state university

Bachelors Degree in Finance with an emphasis in business finance.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. I learned 2D and 3D design as well as television production.

BBA with major in Finance. Mamber of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity.

MBA with major in Finance. GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.

While I attended MTSU, I worked to support myself since my family could not help me. I spent the first half of college as a server at Cracker Barrel and the second half as an assistant manager at The Shoe Dept. in order to purchase and maintain a vehicle, rent an apartment, purchase groceries and other neccessary items and keep my kitten fed, all while writing 13-page term papers and newspaper articles on deadline. I had to learn self-reliance because no one can do the job for me the exact way I want it. I also learned patience and to temper my bluntness with tact, especially with those who are not close friends. Most importantly, I learned that it is the small moments of bliss in the chaos that make life an experience, such as a grasshopper attack after a long, past-deadline night at the newspaper office with the other editors....

I studied various elements of the recording industry business. This includes, but is not limited to: marketing of recordings, music publishing, concert promotion and publicity. My minor was in Journalism; I focused on feature writing for magazines and newspapers and reviewing/criticism of various entertainment. In addition to holding a 35-hour/week job as a retail assistant manager and a full-time school load, I also was an editor and writer for the campus newspaper's entertainment section....

becoming a well rounded student to prepare me for the work field

I Came to MTSU on a athletic scholarship for baseball. I studied graphic design while participating in baseball. In 2003 I was drafted into the professional baseball draft. This put school on hold for a while. After a couple seasons with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Indepentdent ball, and Colorado Rockies. I came back and finished my graphic design degree. Had great experiences and met a lot of great people. Taught me responsibility and hard work....

I studied Spanish language and culture, as well as international politics.

i participated in christian organizations, and i also helped with the sga by serving on the traffic court for the attorney general.
