What's the secret to getting hired at playhouse in the park?

Be willing to do whatever is needed whenever needed - don't worry about whether it's your job or not. Always have a smile on your face (and in your voice) for the donors and potential donors. There is no such thing as thanking them too much. And attention to detail is KEY.

What's one of the projects you worked on at playhouse in the park?

The set for Of Mice and Men was especially fun since it had a stream, firepit and lots of fake rocks. It was interesting to see the massive amounts of materials used on a project like that. With my freelance career, I'm so used to being conservative with supplies and I was forced to throw my frugalness out the window in order for the project to be completed quickly. It was great to go to opening night and see the set being lit and utilized beautifully.... read more
