The most challenging aspects were some of the customers that had a bad day or just weren't in a tip top mood and they tend to take it out on you. You just learn that everyone is entitled to a bad day once in awhile and just let things go.

I would start at the cash register handling all the check out needs of the customer, while maintaining a clean work area. Then when the stores would close, I would begin to pull all the items on the shelf to the front to make it more accesible to the consumer.

You just have to be dependable, respectable, trust-worthy, hardworking, and keep clean of substance abuse.

Helped customers check out their groceries.

* Hiring and training new associates.
* Customer relations.
* Managed payroll, scheduling, human resources, and performance evaluations.
* P&L Management, inventory control and ordering, and merchandising.
* Responsible for all accounting related tasks.
* In charge of store in the absence of the store manager. Opening and closing responsibilities.
* Responsible for the physical security of the store as well as developing secure cash handling procedures....

I started as a Temp and demonstrated while in that Temp position that I am dedicated, dependable, easy going, respectful of superiors, able to deal with difficult people, and I type fast.

To investigate customer accidents, make courtesy calls to injured claimants, assess liability, document a job specific computer program, create a case file.

I started at the store as cashier, moved the front office there I cashed checks, lotto customer service relations, then ended closing the front and back office and doing all the end of day closings. Transferred from the store to join the retail support help desk in 1997 then ended with retiring to spend more time with my children.....

I bag people groceries, take the people groceries out, i did a little bit of cleaning around the store.
