Troubleshot and solved build and performance issues. Created custom scripts to monitor environment and automate policy. Mentored administrators on ClearCase and ClearQuest. Wrote makefiles to convert PERL based build system to ClearMake. Created automated build process for nightly builds. Created License monitoring tool to graph historic license usages for ClearCase, ClearQuest, Rose and GreenHills licenses. Created custom scripts to modify ClearQuest records from the UNIX command line to automate CM procedures. Developed method of syncing information between ClearCase VOBs on separate distinct networks. What's the secret to getting hired at raytheon?

There's no one secret. There are however, niche skills that come into demand. Currently, in the D.C. area, Oracle database administrators, LINUX System administrators, Windows System administrators with TS/SCI clearances are in high demand. As a program manager, one of my challenges is finding and retaining these highly skilled individuals. possessing a security clearance is a good 'foot in the door' at Raytheon. Initially, on the engineering staff, provided recruiting/placement expertise, competency modeling, program staffing profiles, program management plans. Participated in 2 CMMI SCAMPI evaluations. attended training for Raytheon Six Sigma Expert certification, which focuses on Lean Six Sigma practices for process improvement. Focused these skills on service based programs for classified government agency customers. What are the lunches like at raytheon?

We are a smaller site, and do not have a cafeteria. We do have on-site vendors that rotate throughout the week. One company has pizza and pasta. The other has sandwiches, salads, and breakfasts on Friday (awesome breakfast burritos!)

What's unique about working at raytheon?

Raytheon has purchased many other company's in the same industry. We have one lady who has forty years of seniority - it speaks volumes that she has stayed as long as she has - and is not ready to retire yet!

I found their website - Rayjobs.com. They have job alerts that you can set up and customize. I got the email about the position, applied, interviewed and the rest is history!

What advice would you give to a new employee at raytheon?

Network with others outside your immediate group. My group is unique in that we usually eat lunch togethr. I do not get much scuttlebutt that way :-)
