Experiences at rider university

Bachelor Degree

I studied public relations, event planning and advertising.

I developed life long friendships, got a great base of understanding with regards to general business and marketing practices and really embraced the person I am today.

I completed 4 years in 3. This bachelor's degree reinforced my appreciation for understanding the function of each department in a company and the influencing power of marketing to the targeted customer.

I was trained in the theories of writing and tutoring as a Student Writing Associate for one semester. I worked with students in one-on-one sessions, was responsible for exclusive tutoring of an expository writing class and helped students improve as writers while offering supplemental guidance outside of the classroom. I received my Level I certification in December 2004....

I was inducted into three honor societies: Sigma Tau Delta, the national English honor society; Omicron Delta Kappa, the leadership honor society; and The Honor Key Society of Phi Beta Kappa. I was enrolled in Rider's Baccalaureate Honors Program. I worked for the Rider News for two years as a photographer, copy editor and the editor of the opinion section. I also worked in the school's art gallery for a year, was a photographer for the school's yearbook for two semesters and was a writing tutor for almost two years. I was named to the dean's list every semester from the spring of 2003 to the spring of 2006. I was named Senior Jounalist of the Year in 2006. I graduated magna cum laude, with a 3.9 major GPA and a 3.65 cummulative GPA, receiving my bachelor's degree in English with minors in BHP and fine arts....

I took classes in the evening to further my knowledge of working in an accounting department.
