Experiences at st. pius x school

The funniest thing is when I woke up thought I was late to work and got to work one hour early.

I do not know.

The best team I have worked with was the WASC accreditation team my principal placed me on. We worked well with our staff to write a great in depth study and WASC report for the Department of Catholic Schools. Our team lead to are school recieving a 6 year renewal and accomendations for curriculum and assessments....

Recommendation from a principal who interviewed me for a job at their school realized I was over qualified for her school. She called St. Pius and spoke to the principal which called me in for an interview and hired me the next day. I have been there ever since.

I would tell a new employee that there are opportunities fro growth, and a good community of teachers in which to work with at St. Pius X school.

To be diligent, creative, and patient. My creativity in developing a variety show to end the school year with in kindergarten as become one of the years highlights. I have also learned to write grants during my six years at the school. My grade leverl as recieved an Arts grade three years in a roll as well as a science grant two years ago....

The three best things about working at St. Pius X are: The relationships I build with my students, community based environment, and how well the staff works together.

The toughest problems in a school is generally related to students. My toughest issues are dealing with parents who are divorce and fighting over custody of their children, or abuse cases. As a kindergarten teacher it is difficult to see little ones hurting emotionally, or physically. I am a strong advocate of children....

Challenges are part of any job. I believe it is how those challenges are faced and dealt with that makes all the difference. The most challenging aspects of my job is maintaining and keeping parents happy. After 15 years, I have gotten pretty good at maintaining a good working relationship with my parents....

St. Pius X teachers implement curriculum, plan lessons, meet with parents, incorporate state standards in their directed teaching. My job was to teach, guide and assess my students and lead them to mastery of academic as well as spiritual cuuriculum.
