Finance) and Blogs. - The spiders make use of various heuristics like content hashing and domain revisiting. - Enhanced web crawlers for the Textmap project which get information from 500 News Sources. - Text Map is a search engine for entities like persons and places. Reliable UDP File Transfer [C, Solaris] * File transfer protocol for Unix platforms, based on UDP, with reliability added to the transfer operation using timeouts, sliding-window mechanisms and flow control. Finance) and conducting statistical analysis (reference counts, time series analysis) on the data collected. * The processed data was used to correlate volume and sentiment scores with stock prices to find meaningful relationships between current stock prices and information in these discussion boards. Car Accessories System [Apache, Perl, HTML, Oracle] * Created a CGI Application that allows a user to browse for car accessories online and purchase them by credit card and cheque.
