- Designed and developed web crawlers to spider discussion boards (like Yahoo! Finance) and Blogs.
- The spiders make use of various heuristics like content hashing and domain revisiting.
- Enhanced web crawlers for the Textmap project which get information from 500 News Sources.
- Text Map is a search engine for entities like persons and places. It uses NLP techniques to track entity references in news sources and employs a number of statistical tools to analyze relationships between them.[http://www.textmap.org]

- Enhanced existing Heritrix system by designing and enabling form filling capability.
- Added visual crawling capability by integrating JRex with Heritrix.
- Created Agents of varying complexities for specific sites using WinAgent - a web based personal information assistant, which uses machine learning techniques for extracting and presenting relevant data needed by users.

ODR (OnDemand Routing Protocol) [C,Unix Datagram sockets, Solaris]
* Developed an On-Demand shortest-hop Routing (ODR) protocol for networks of fixed but arbitrary and unknown connectivity.
Reliable UDP File Transfer [C, Solaris]
* File transfer protocol for Unix platforms, based on UDP, with reliability added to the transfer operation using timeouts, sliding-window mechanisms and flow control.
Compiler tool [C, 8086 Assembly]
* Constructed a Compiler that converts C code into assembly language (80X86).
* Supports a subset of C language like while If-else for and switch case. Recursive descent parsing is used.
Online chat analysis system [Perl,Linux]
* This project involved scraping postings on discussion boards (like Yahoo! Finance) and conducting statistical analysis (reference counts, time series analysis) on the data collected.
* The processed data was used to correlate volume and sentiment scores with stock prices to find meaningful relationships between current stock prices and information in these discussion boards.
Car Accessories System [Apache, Perl, HTML, Oracle]
* Created a CGI Application that allows a user to browse for car accessories online and purchase them by credit card and cheque.
Codeguess - Strategy game [Java]
* Developed a standalone strategy game where the user has to crack the code given by another user or one generated randomly by the computer. Uses Frame Class in Java....
