Experiences at university of south florida

The most satisfying project has been writing the training module for workshops in K-5 geometry, which I have already described in responses to previous questions.

I did not have to be interviewed for my position.

I majored in mathematics. My position at USF involves teaching teachers to teach mathematics.

My wife left a position in New York City for USF. While I had a wonderful job there, I was too old for a long-distance relationship; in any event, we could not afford to maintain two households.

This question is not quite applicable to my circumstances. I started as a part-time instructor immediately upon my wife's being hired. Three years later, a temporary job in my field opened at precisely the time I was available for it.

I'm still there. What I will most about USF are my students.

The faculty members I know read mostly their own publications in obscure journals. Most of the students I know don't have time to read anything for pleasure.

Devoting oneself to teaching at an institution that is fervently trying to raise its profile in both research and athletics.
