Knowing immediately that a Graphic Design major was a perfect fit for me, I started the program right away and eventually decided to add a second major of Journalism & Mass Communication with an emphasis in Advertising & Public Relations, which in turn helped me to learn how multiple areas in the Advertising and Marketing world are run....

I received a lot of exposure to financial concepts such as DCF, CAMP, capital budgeting, and securities pricing. I did financial modeling in most Finance classes, but especially in a class devoted to the subject. I also developed my oral communication and presentation skills in classes such as Global Marketing and Management Strategy. I also developed my written communication skills through my minor in Journalism....

I completed the coursework necessary for the Masters in Computer Science. I left UWM without completing my thesis to take a full-time programming position. [My advisor was teaching abroad; also, I needed sufficient money to move my fiancee from the east coast to Wisconsin]
I anticipate re-entry into the Masters in Computer Science program in 2009 and defense of my thesis in either 2009 or 2010....
