What are the three best things about working at us army reserve?

1. Opportunity to serve without having the full-time commitment of Active Duty.
2. Opportunities for promotion and advancement.
3. Retirment benefits after 20 years of qualifying service.

What's unique about working at us army reserve?

The fact that it is only one weekend per month, and you could be mobilized or called to Active Duty at any time.
It's also unique in the sense that you must maintain height/weight requirements and standards of physical fitness.

Advise on administrative matters; Provide administrative expertise; assist staff in formulating estimates, plans, orders, reports. Conduct inspections of subordinate units. Review administrative & military personnel related correspondence submitted from subordinates. Maintain suspense log. Insure reports are prepared in proper format and contain required information; assure accuracy and quality of administrative and personnel actions. Insure file systems are properly set up and maintained. Directs administrative services and personnel operations for internal operation of the headquarters. * Led a platoon of twenty-five soldiers that armed and supplied forty-five combat (Cobras), cargo (Hueys),
and reconnaissance (Scouts) helicopters with rockets, ammunition, and jet fuel.
* Earned a job performance rating in the top five percent out of the battalion's ninety-seven officers for
the
battalion's 1992 and 1993 officer evaluations.
* Honorable Discharge from the US Army Reserve in February 2003
* Awards include the National Defense Service Medal for Operation Desert Shield; and the Army
Achievement Medal, one of two in the battalion awarded for leadership during a 15-day mock war mission
evaluated by the active duty Army.

How would you describe what you did at us army reserve?

Plan and implement Commanders religious program for Brigade and Battalion.Counsel soldiers and their families including DOD civilians. Preach, Teach, Conduct funerals, Weddings, Baptisms.Lead conferences and cordinate with civilian community and civic leaders.

What do you miss most about us army reserve?

I miss serving our country. I loved getting up each day and putting on my fatigues knowing that I was doing something that was not just for me. I was making a difference for the US!

How would you describe what you did at us army reserve?

I prepared, maintained records, and ordered equipment for a company of 200 soldiers. Instructed new recruits on proper ways to efficiently run a military supply room. I also repaired navigation equipment on helicopters. I was called to active duty for Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. I was responsible for the supply room receiving a Superior rating.... read more
