Challenging, constant Improvisation, doing the best you can with limited resources, working on U-2`s in the south of France is one of those times in your life that most people can only dream about.

What are the three best things about working at usaf?

The three best things about working with the united states air force are the training they give you to complete the everyday task on working on million dollar aircraft for future experience, as well the air force gives all its employees the chance to get a grasp at high tempo situation under normal work conditon which allows alot of team work and real good supervisors to keep the task at hand on course,last but not least the best thing about the air force is the opportunity to gain a sense of travel thru out the country and world.... read more

How would you describe what you did at usaf?

I have over 22 years experience in the Military using state of the art software and automated weather systems. As I retire form the AF I served as the Weather Operations Coordinator where I supervised 9 enlisted members of my team. I maintained two local weather servers one satellite system and work as the squadrons go to guy for network server issues. I am well versed in computer software such as windows server 2003, Microsoft Office to include; Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Front Page.
As a Weather Forecaster I have considerable experience with stand-up briefings presenting time sensitive weather information to aviators as well as base commanders to protect base assets and base populous during inclement weather conditions. I work well with people and enjoy getting the work at hand completed.

What's the secret to getting hired at usaf?

There is no secret to getting hired at the USAF. You must be honest, be responsible and have integrity. To enter you must pass a proficiency test to see what jobs you qualify for. The next thing you know you are on your way to basic training to start basic military training.
