what i did at walmart was alot more then just a cashier, i was often sent to a door to be a door greeter, or out on the floof for zoning, or to other departments to help out when the need was demanded. there are alot of oppurtunities at walmart and many other things to do other then cashiering, was never bored and always happy to help out....

i dont think there is a secret, but they do require a drug test, an assesment test, hard work, friendly, available and honest people. associates become family, thats great!

Working the cash register, meeting, and greeting customers.

I ran the front end of the store, helping customers and making sure things ran as smooth as possible. I was responsible for making sure all cash registers were reset at midnight and taking money to accounting. I took care of sorting and delivering items from customer service desk and items from around the store. On occasion I would help stock shelves where help was needed. I also made sure the front end was stocked and ready for the next day....

Assist in customer service in the Ladies Wear department. Cashier trained. Hired based on my customer service experience helping customers with selections of clothing. The result is customer satisfaction. Currently awaiting to train in the Pharmacy position as Pharmacy Tech 1.
