Experiences at weis markets

The most challenging aspects of my job were to get party platters out on time during the holidays, and keeping 99% of the customers happy and returning.

Be Customer oriented, and friendly.

I assisted the store manager with the daily store operations. I trained and developed new cashiers. I overseen the front-end and cash office departments. Interviewed and hired applicants. Set-up displays and merchandised products.

I kept shop clean and orderly, ordered flowers from salers and did weekly inventory.

All one needs to do in order to secure a job with Weis Markets is to fill out an application, show up on time for the interview, and answer all questions with honesty and respect.

I starting working for Weis Markets in October of 2001 as a part-time cashier/front end employee. While performing that job, I also stocked shelves, cleaned up the shopping carts that were left in the parking lot and returned them to the store, and assisted in the dairy department as needed. I am currently working in the produce department and so far during my time there I have:

1.) Exhibited friendly customer service when working with customers.
2.) Stocked shelves and kept department neat, sanitary, and attractive.
3.) Rotated supply, culled perished goods, and performed various cleaning tasks.
4.) Created attractive displays, signs, and advertisements.
5.) Handled customer complaints.
6.) Assisted other associates as needed in other departments....

Involved in organization of entire back stock room. Unloaded trucks successfully and kept track of fellow associates in working towards the similar goal. Stocked shelves at a quick pace for new freight coming in on the truck and kept up with re-filling the shelves with left over freight in the back room....
