Michael, How would you describe what you did at Long Beach State University?

Soon after I started school my father became terminally ill with lung cancer. He passed away after a year long battle. My mother, who was a stay at home mom, was left with a house payment, a young daughter and no employable skills. To support my mother, I took a full time job managing the consumer electronics specialty store (Leo's Stereo) that I had been working at part time and over the summer. I cut back to just part time at school as I was working 50 to 60 hours a week. I used the money I was earning to pay the mortgage on my mother's house. It took 6 years of going to school part time but I finally graduated CSULB in May 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communications.
