Responsibilities include architecture, design, coding, unit testing, project planning, task estimation, scheduling. We use the SCRUM Agile methodology as the development process. Catalog Manager can be considered a modern Rich Internet Application, making use of modern development technologies including AJAX, DHTML, Yahoo User Interface JavaScript Toolkit (YUI), and the EXT-JS JavaScript framework. The backend is implemented in Perl, using a framework which I designed that is very similar to the currently popular Ruby on Rails framework.
