If they haven't done so, to be an intern in a company that offers that opportunity in the field they have chosen. They also have opportunities to secure a job through college career centers. These centers work closely with employers looking to hire students fresh out of college. Networking is very important. Ask their teachers if they know of any job opportunities or companies that might be hiring. Ask their fellow classmates if they know who is hiring. Ask their friends and family members. Lastly, job fairs are an excellent opportunity for entry level positions.

Everyone coming out of college dreams of finding that one job at that one company that they will spend the rest of their career at and which will also give them that job satisfaction they dreamed of all throughout college. But that is in a perfect world and unfortunately the reality is you will probably not find that in your first job or even your second. The best advice I can give is take a job that you feel strengthens your positive attributes and works on your weaknesses. This comes from finding a company who you want to invest in and who wants to invest in you; through great training, management, work environment, and a strong product. And don't be afraid to ask advice from people who are close to you and who you admire professionally; family, friends, teachers, parents co-workers, etc.
