Judy, What's the secret to getting hired at L.C. Thomsen?

The secret at the time I was hired on to Thomsen was a combination of my personality and the desire I had to be in a technical sales position. I had little experience, other than being a terrible tom-boy, farm work and an unquenchable curiosity of how things work. My previous employment to that point had all been accounting, logistics or service related. I had, had enough guts to open a business of my own at one point, which, may have contributed to the hiring managers decision. He had also told me (confidentially) upon my hire, that he would like me to head the department within a year because he was leaving (also confidential).

Judy, What's the secret to getting hired at W. M Sprinkman?

Sprinkman was a former customer of mine through L.C. Thomsen. When he heard of Thomsen's demise, he offered me a job. The position/department was something that they had been thinking about doing, but were not sure that they were ready to move forward with yet. In the end, they decided that they had moved to soon and that the budget could not handle the department just yet.

My 8th grade history teacher. Everyone of us hated history in the 8th grade, but the way she taught it made me listen and have a love of it myself. I learned to have a quirky sense of humor from her, to appreciate differences and to try new things. I learned passionate appreciation for unfamilair things from her and imagination. She was something else and I thanked her years later for the person she unleased in me.

Judy, What kind of job are you looking for?

Managerial job where, in time, I can garner enough confidence to possibly be allowed to telecommute a few days a week, rather than commute daily. I do very well independently and take my responsibilities very seriously. I tend to be 'old school' in my work ethic...i.e an honest days work etc. Thus, I have chosen e-Commerce Management for its sales exposure, the opportunity to use my creative juices, the ability to be mobile, yet still in charge, plus, the degree of anonimity it affords [for instance...rather than outside sales].
