Darryl, What's the secret to getting hired at Verizon Communications?

Multitasking is extremely important as you will be using at least 4 applications at the same time during the same conversation. One must be able to type swiftly and accurately, read and discern combination sets of all characters quickly. Diplomatic and exacting communication is a requirement as the majority of clients are extremely unhappy or even mad about one or more business topics. One must be able to educate the client, keeping within the parameters of United States and the relative State tarrif(s).

The ability to sell is extremely important to Verizon; on a monthly basis there are five major and several minor quota's which must be met or exceeded. Telephone monitoring by the corporate management, FCC, and the Public Utilities Commission are randomly performed; one must be able to expect constructive criticism and avoid FCC violations.

The last major prerequisite for employment at Verizon is the ability to accept change. Change is not only expected but usually takes place on a daily basis.

In sum, multitasking, learning and using many applications, the ability to effectively and diplomatically communicate and educate clients, attain quota sales, follow US and state tariffs, and accept change are the secrets of getting hired at Verizon Communications.
