Daphne, What was your first job?

I was a tutor for a 16-year old female. I tutored her in precalculus and chemistry. I tutored her from March 2005 through August 2005 because after that she took her regents. She improved her understanding of the material and I was paid $20-$40 per session.

Daphne, Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?

My most influential mentor, and still is, was Ariel Pagan. He is my youth pastor at my church, Primitive Christian Church. He is a man of God and he counsels very well. He doesn't sugar coat anything because he realizes that by doing that, it does not help the situation. He has taught me that life is harsh and the only person one can count on completely is God. We need to trust others and love others but people will let us down. God will never let us down.

Daphne, What was your most memorable summer job?

My most memorable summer job was when I volunteered at Primitive Christian Church's youth summer camp called Extended Day in the Summer of 2004. I was able to work with young kids, 6-10 years old, and I was able to have fun and take care of them in-house and outside, attending trips, for example.

Daphne, What's your ideal role within an organization?

My ideal role in an organization os a leadership position. I enjoy giving instructions to people and working with them to give them advice and guidance. Leadership positions also allow me to demonstrate to the other employees that I am humble and that I treat everyone equal based on their work ethics.
