Sarah, How would you describe what you did at Kanki?

I worked with other hostesses to greet patrons and facilitate their dining experience. Tasks included getting high chairs when appropriate, assigning chefs and waiters/waitresses according to a system which makes things easier on them, taking reservations, and some cleaning after closing. We did the little things that helped make the experience run smoothly.

Sarah, How did you find your job at Robert E. Price, Atty.?

He's my father. You might assume he was easier on me, because I'm his daughter. You could just as easily assume that he expected more of me for the same reason. If he was lenient, it encouraged me to surpass his expectations. If he was tough on me, I took it as a chance to show I was as good as anyone else he could hire.

Mr. Price has very high standards. Be motivated and up to the task; focus on learning routines and patterns, while remaining willing to accept any changes he may present. Change is typically introduced in a predictable and logical manner.

Job activities include typing by dictation, copying, filing, and other general office tasks. I did other tasks, such as running errands and cleaning. I have some experience with Title searches, and have done a small amount of research in the office's law library.

I worked on weekends during the school year, and part-time during summers, from 2000-2003. During 2004, I worked from July to August as a full-time secretary. During 2005, I worked from May to August as a full-time secretary, and completed Title work as part of my job duties. I continued doing this from late June through mid-August of 2006 and 2007. I also worked part-time during the Fall and Spring breaks of 2004 - present.

My current project involves working with information from the county tax office.
