<title>Marcin, How would you describe what you did at PTC "ERA" (T-Mobile Poland)?</title>
      <link>http://www.jobster.com/at/answer/view/214611?answer_class=AnswerBase</link>
<description>Full-time, permanent role based in Warsaw, Poland. Direct Hire. Years 2000-2006.
PTC "ERA" (T-Mobile Poland) is the largest Polish cell phone company.

2004-2006
As part of the 3rd level BSS Unit I've been responsible for rating/billing systems operation (BSCS, BMP, Infranet), where knowledge of unix, SQL and shell scripting were must. Besides the day-to-day maintenance, the role involved in configuring BMP and UC4 jobs and 24/7 standby on call.

I've been cooperating with the Roaming Unit in TAP processing, performing TADIG tests, roaming billing operation, communication with data clearing houses (EDS, MACH), consideration of roaming complaints, analyzing rating trends and KPI's, preparing reports etc.

As applications owner I've been reviewing operational projects and systems documentation and procedures before taking over support by the Operations Unit and have been providing main support for several systems incl. e.g. debt collecting and IVR account balance.

I've been also responsible for MS SharePoint Portal (175 sites, 8000 documents, dozens of users) and for liaison with MS consultants in developing it.

2000-2004
As part of the 2nd level of the IT Helpdesk Unit during 4 years I have been responsible for over 3000 PC's (Dell), user and application maintenance using corporate tools (problem tracking applications, SMS, Citrix, TNG, Ghost, Legato Networker, Nortons, MS Office and many more).

I have been a sole print supporter for whole corporation (over 350 HP/Xerox/OCE/Lexmark printers on two MS print servers) cooperating with suppliers and technical support. My biggest achievement was painless migration of MS print servers from old machines running Windows NT to new Windows 2000 servers.

This role gave me great opportunity to meet a lot of different human characters and to learn how to liaise with them.
