Alaska season is our busiest time of the year. A close friend of mine got my foot in the door as a temp in her department (Documentation) during the height of Alaska season, and then the opportunity arose for a permanent position in Guest Relations. I applied, interviewed, and they hired me.

Marissa, What kind of job are you looking for?

I'm looking for a job where I can be myself, and enjoy what I do for a living. I like the freedom to work independently, but also enjoy working in a team environment. I like project driven work, and a comfortable environment, where a boss will still treat me as a peer (albeit with proper respect to their authority).

Marissa, What's your dream job?

I have to say that i have 2 dream jobs. One is to write / edit for Rolling Stone Magazine. I believe that as much as the current hottest thing should get the recognition it deserves, there should be more on the up & coming. My other dream job is on a completely different plane of existence from my first: forensics. Forensics are vastly fascinating to me, and I intend on going back to school to study forensic psychology, or for a BS in forensic sciences.

I was an administrative assistant for an Insurance Agent one summer. It was a small agency, and he was a great boss. I learned a lot of things about dealing with phone calls, customers, potential customers. I also did a lot of filing. ;)
