Scott, What are the three best things about working at Hotwire.com?

1. If you are a travel nut, there is no better place. You are immersed in the world of travel, which makes every day fun if travel is a passion of yours.
2. The team at Hotwire was one of the most talented group of people I've ever worked with. Things have changed a bit since the company is now 6+ years old and most of the original gang has moved on, but there are still plenty of smart people there.
3. Just the right company size for me. About 200 employees, making it big enough to feel like a "real" company with plenty of resources, but small enough that you still know everyone and have that entrepreneurial spirit.

Scott, How did you find your job at Hotwire.com?

I was consulting to one of the airlines who co-founded Hotwire and learned about the company then (Hotwire hadn't launched yet). That airline suggested I talk to Hotwire, so I searched their online job postings to see if there was a role that was a match for my skill set, then submitted my resume through the regular job application process at Hotwire.

Scott, What's your daily commute like at Hotwire.com?

Hotwire is in downtown SF, right on top of the Bart and Muni Embarcadero Station -- so easy to get to by public transport. And I would often walk home, about a 30 minute trek through downtown, Union Sq., Civic Center, and then home.
