He taught me that making top dollar was not what was always important. He would rather help someone out then to get the most money. We may have had a family that came into the store that wasn't that well off. Struggling and had several children. He would tell them that he had forgotten to mark down the shoes that they were getting, even though they were not really marked down That way they would be able to afford the shoes and also be able to keep their dignity.
