Try to go on at least 3 to 5 interviews before making a decision. Everyone is excited to get that first job, but the interview process is just as important. It opens doors, build contacts, and helps one validate their final decision.

"Is this something that you would like to do?" Considering the fact that during the interview I was not getting positive vibes and knew it wouldn't be a good fit, I had to answer politely "no."

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."
-Charles Darwin-

I have been very fortunate to have had many mentors - from parents, to teachers, to hockey coaches, to bosses - who have all provided great lessons. For the sake of this questions though I will pick just one of them???Professor Traywick at Roosevelt. He introduced me too, and explained the importance of "AIM" Adapt, Improve, Maintain??? it is one the most important lessons that I have learned, and not only for business.

To be honest, I am not really looking for a "job". I have had "jobs" for the past 10 years. I am looking for a career, and only for positions/companies that are built on the basis of creating a solid foundation for a long term relationships with their employees. Ideally I am looking for a position that would want me to use my skill set to work with others to assure that marketing initiatives are integrated through all aspects of the business - sales and operations.

Dan, What was your best interview experience like?

The best interview experience I've had occurred when I was interviewing for my current position. It was a similar feeling to those that I've had playing music or hockey or knowing that I knew all the answers on a test??? sport of like being in the "zone." I just felt that I had the right answers to all their questions, understood their needs and could provide frameworks of a possible solution. I felt completely confident in my answers and that my past experience and education could be applied directly to help the division achieve its goals.
