I worked very closely with Dr. McCarthy at that time. I was also the first victim advocate at UCF while I was still attending school. My responsibilities included forging relatioships with local law enforcement, community agencies, school board, teh entire criminal juctice ssytem and convincing the stae attorney that the program would work. I recruited and trained all local volunteer attornyes and local middle and high school students as volunteers. I maintained consistently a volunteer database of 200 people. My other responsibilities included collecting data for statistical reports,oversee my budget,supervise staff,train a case manager and community service coordinator, recruit community service sites,extensive contact with children, families and case management. work with the drug lab and outside service agencies. I have organized several major mock trials and conferences. Conduted presentations and many public speaking engagemmets. Responsible for establishing a nonproft organization to condut fundraising for the high school seniors. I have sat on various boards.
