The three best things about working at the Bank of Floyd would be the customers, my coworkers, and the experiences I gain. I have a great time with my coworkers, we get along well. The customers there are very friendly and appreciate us because they know we are there to help. I have learned a lot by working here and continue to learn new things daily.

Kimberly, How would you describe what you did at Check Into Cash?

Check into Cash was a payday advance company. It was a great experience and I feel my first real job. My duties here included handling all customer transactions, accounting forms and other daily paperwork, answering phones, operating the fax and copy machine, marketing and collections. Using the computer was a large part of my daily routine here, having to use Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook and Word. I was held responsible in the absence of my store manager.

My first year of college was very interesting! I did quite well in my classes. Instead of having to go on campus I was able to take them from home and plan on doing so next year. After my two year course at New River I will later attend Radford University to obtain my degree in Education.

Kimberly, What was the last really difficult interview question you were asked? How did you respond?

The most difficult question I can think of being asked at an interview would be "what could you do for this company?" I feel this is an extremely hard question! I think that in any company I would be giving the same effort, I would be a dependable and hard working employee. I am a very honest and trustworthy person, and I have always gotten along with my coworkers.

Kimberly, If you could choose, what city would you most like to live/work in? Why?

If I could live anywhere, I think I would chose right where I am! I live in Shawsville, VA. It is a very small place in the country. I love my house, family and friends being close by. I have lived in Shawsville all my life and wouldn't leave for anything. I think it is a wonderful place to be. There may not be much to do around but it is atleast peaceful. Work is hard to find here, therefore I would have to work in either Christiansburg or another surrounding area such as Salem.
