Cris, What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you at Creative Directions Recruiting?

I think the funniest thing I can think of that happened to me had to be when I was running late for a client meeting and while crossing the parking lot of my client's office building, my heel got caught in a crack in the pavement and broke off. Not a very flattering situation, to have to carry out a client meeting with only one heel ;-)

Cris, What are the most challenging aspects of your job at Creative Directions Recruiting?

I feel the most challenging aspect of my work is functioning as the middle-man between a client and a candidate. Unlike so many sales related jobs, in the recruiting indusustry our product moves itself off the "shelf". This creates an urgency with which a Recruiter must work on behalf of a job seeker who happens to be an "A" quality candidate. All the while, helping my clients see in candidates what a resume cannot fully reflect and nudging them along through the courtship process, ensuring all steps of an interview process are met without losing quality talent due to scheduling delays.

Cris, What advice do you have for someone who wants a job like yours?

Be prepared to work hard and smart! Recruiting is one of the few industries where your "product" has a mind of its own and can walk away from the "sale" at the last possible moment! :-)

A high level of integrity is essential if one wishes to be successful in this industry - long term.
