One of the projects I'm most proud of is the Arnold Ad Delivery tool. With this tool, Amazon was able to deliver targeted ads across most page types. By following the customer throughout the site with a single message, we were able to drive a significant amount of traffic to new categories.

The view from my Pac Med office on the 5th floor. It looked out over the stadiums, the sound and olympic mountains. It was amazing.

Work to quickly understand the challenges facing companies in Amazon's market segment.

Talk to your peers about the culture.

Prepare to be re-orged in the next few weeks.

I led the UI design for user profiles of which my favorite feature is the drag and drop tags stack ranking tool. I'm also really excited about Superstar tags in general as a means for job seekers to distinguish themselves from their colleagues, and match to jobs they might be well qualified for.

The new sculpture park
The waterfront
Belltown
Pike Place Market
Seattle Center

My original list:

I work with amazing people, on a product that is both innovative and useful. Additionally I have the opportunity to develop and design products that are pushing the user experience envelope a bit.

Jim, What are you most passionate about?

That's a tough questions. Certainly one thing I'm passionate about is the power of the web as an agent of change in person's life -- which is one reason I'm at Jobster. Global access to information empowers individuals across ethnic, cultural and class divides, giving them tools to succeed they might never have had otherwise. Because of this, I'm passionate about bringing access to the web to people who might otherwise be off the grid -- such as remote areas of Africa and Asia, or even into communities here at home where currently the cost to the user is too high.

When I really grow up, I'd like to own a small French or Italian restaurant. Around 10 tables in a community with good foot traffic.
