Personally: My wife, my life and finding ways to use my creativity in my every day life (home renovation, cooking, working in my shop, etc.)

Professionally: Brand, branding and what it means at its most fundamental level. I am also very passionate about finding good leadership. Bad leaders kill initiative in their employees.

Andrew, What kind of job are you looking for?

Something that challenges my senses of design and business and applies it to a corporate brand or marketing challenge. And I'm not talking in the creative sense of advertising graphics and corporate identity. I am a firm believer in the holistic nature of brand - it is an integral part of a business, not just a marketing program. In that sense I have become very adept at applying design principles to business and marketing problems. Sometimes my approach can be seen as a bit unconventional in a corporate environment, but I have found it to be very successful and rewarding both professionally and personally. The job I am looking for takes advantage of what I am able to offer an organization. This could be in a corporate, entrepreneurial or consulting environment.

Andrew, What was the last really difficult interview question you were asked? How did you respond?

1st question of an interview - "Tell me about how many hours a week you spend doing various activities?" I cannot remember the exact answer I gave, but it added up to almost exactly the number of hours in a seven day week (168). The person interviewing me - my eventual boss - was somewhat taken aback since he said no one he had ever asked that question of had even come close. Apparently the remainder of his interview Q's were about how you fill the rest of your time so essentially he was out of questions before the interview even started.

We ended up having a much more interesting discussion as a result of him no longer having a "script" to go by.

There are several cities around the world where I would like to live and/or work. New York, London, Toronto, Atlanta - some I've lived in before some I've just visited - all are great cities because of their diversity, energy and opportunities to grow as a person. The only issue is being able to afford to live in any one of them.
