What was your most memorable summer job?

Mowing yards between my sophomore and junior years of high school. I've always had a secret desire to find a job that is half outdoor manual labor, and half software development. At least with mowing a yard, you know about how long it will take every single time. You put in the work and get the results. If only programming were the same way. What kind of job are you looking for?

A company that understands both the technical and artistic sides of development. Any place where the upper-management has read "The Mythical Man Month" or "The Pragmatic Programmer" is ideal.

What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at Boeing?

Redesigning access methods into a 15-year old legacy system, using modern asynchronous approaches. Adding multi-variance and versioning into this same system.
