Coach (basketball, football, lacrosse). I coached a JV high school lacrosse team about 15 years ago and loved every second of it.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?

Connecting great people with great opportunities. I take alot of pride in what I do and the company I work for. I feel strongly that by bringing someone new into MITRE, I am making a positive impact on their life. What's your daily commute like at RSM McGladrey?

Much better than it used to be. I currently have a virtual work arrangement where I work from home about 50% of the time and am in the office the other 50%. This flexibilty allows me to start work at home and wait to head into the office until rush hour is over. Sure beats sitting in traffic and I find that I'm more productive as a result. What are the lunches like at MITRE?

The Cafeteria menu from this past Monday included: Beef Tips with Portabello Mushrooms over Egg Noodles and Spinach, Apple Walnut Turkey Salad on MultiGrain with Fruit Salad, Andouille Sausage Sub with Creole Sauce & Cajun Fries, plus the daily deli, grill, pizza and salad bar fare.

What advice would you give to a new employee at MITRE?

Collaborate, collaborate, collaborate. There are very few silos here at MITRE, in fact they are strongly discouraged, except in cases where security issues apply. Even then, the culture facilitates wherever possible the exchange of best practices, best methodologies, etc. Any way that we can best support ALL of our government sponsors, we strive to do so. Being seen as a go-to-person is a great advantage here and is something that can greatly advance one's career/professional growth at MITRE.... read more

- Green trees and blue sky
- A parking garage (have to be honest:-)
- Pictures of places I've been (Tokyo, Seoul, London, Bavaria, San Diego)
- Posterboard displays of our past 5 Fortune 100 Best Company To Work For Awards
- My mini Redskins and Terps football helmets.
