What have your past employers loved about you?

The two main compliments I have constantly received have been that I am very personable and easy to work with, and that I constantly express and act on the desire to improve.

What was your most bizarre interview experience like?

I was interviewing for a very well known software company. The interviewer asked me what kind of code one should write. I did the best I could. However, she wanted exactly 4 words. Extensible, secure, scalable and something else I don't remember. That turned me off so much I quit even thinking of working there.... read more

What was your first job?

My first job was working at Captain D's in Lima, OH. Kind of the same as Long John Silver's. Fun times.

1. It is right on Cornell campus.

Depends on their role, but many of the younger developers wore shorts and sandals, jeans, etc.

What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you at Amazon.com?

I got 500 business cards as an intern (don't ask why). One day I was sick and worked from home. Other members of supply chain took most of those business cars and stuck them all around the office. There was a distinct path from the elevator to my cube, and my business cards can still be found around the 5th floor of US1.... read more

What's your daily commute like at Amazon.com?

I was an intern and lived at the Harbor Steps apartments in downtown Seattle. I walked to work (15-20 minutes) or took a bus.
