What's one of the projects you worked on at wake forest university?

The biggest project I worked on at Wake Forest was planning and implementation of three special-use classroom facilities for Art, Music and Theater with budgets ranging from $50K to $500K.

What's one of the projects you worked on at Duke University?

The biggest project I've worked on at Duke was managing the production of an interactive CD to promote the use of our course management system. The disc, which had a budget of about $25K was distributed to all of the faculty at the university.

How would you describe what you did at Appalachian State University?

Majored in Public and Applied History which looks at teaching history in a non-traditional setting, such as a museum or archives. My coursework included small business management, marketing, computer science, media and education.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy walking, hiking, photography and writing. I also collect vintage audio - reel to reel tapes, vinyl lps, and radio transcriptions. I also volunteer for the Old Time Radio Researchers group, which does restoration of classic comedy and drama radio programs from original radio transcription discs.... read more

What are the three things that provide you satisfaction in your work?

The main thing that satisfies me in work is the sense that I'm learning something new and solving a problem at the same time.

What would you different if you transitioned from college to work all over again?

I would have probably hiked the Appalachian Trail before starting work; it's difficult to take a few months off from life later when you're working full-time.

What was your most memorable summer job?

Working as a drive-time dj at a country radio station in my home town in Appalachia - hard work, but a lot of fun.
