What was the last really difficult interview question you were asked? How did you respond?

In one of my Google interviews, we spent 45 minutes on a single theoretical 'brain teaser' question involving requirements gathering for high-rise elevator construction. I kept wondering "what does this have to do with recruiting software engineers? why can't they just have me write some Boolean queries or ask about my strengths and weaknesses?" but it really gave me a taste of what Google is looking for in a problem solver.... read more

What path did you take to your current career?

I fell in love with recruiting when I did it for my sorority in college (you know, Rush) -- and now I recruit computer science PhDs... go figure!
