How would you describe what you did at Portland State University?

My curriculum focused on the application of Machine Learning techniques. How would you describe what you did at Ensol?

Created and managed a web site and the computer infrastructure for a small business. Everything from wiring a barn with CAT-5, to making Power Point presentations. The Linux web server I was administrating was compromised due to an exploit in wuFTP. After quickly discovering the intruder, I managed to obtain the attackers IP address and notify the authorities.... read more

How would you describe what you did at McBride Clinic?

I worked with a small team to provide technical support for a staff of more that 500 employees on 4 separate campuses. In my free time I developed a new corporate web site with easily updatable and customizable content for our non technical marketing department. I also optimized large database records and searches while the company was in the process of transitioning from paper to digital records.... read more

How would you describe what you did at Osmosys?

I single handedly developed an advanced point of sale and management system for restaurants, including accounting, scheduling and forecasting features, from the ground up. The software was designed as multiple, extensible front ends to a postgreSQL database, including a javascript/php and a QT based c++ implementation. After deploying the software in a test restaurant, I realized that I was much more interested in algorithms for solving complex problems like scheduling and forecasting, than I was in providing support for a piece of software, or managing a small business.... read more
