What are you most passionate about?

People in general. I have to be, as a recruiter. I tend to try and find the good in people, and help them to realize their potential in whatever arena they are striving.

If you won $50 million dollars tomorrow, what would you do first?

Probably buy a home. I *wouldn't* quit my job, because I love what I do. I'd give some money to charity, pay off my debts, invest a good portion, and just breathe a sigh of relief.

What was your most memorable summer job?

There are two that come to mind. One was right after I graduated from High School. I babysat for a family, and they have become *my* second family. On a more professional note, working at the local Kinko's in college was probably one of the best jobs I had. It wasn't just a summer job, but the summers I did work were awesome.... read more

What advice do you have for someone looking for their first job out of college?

Don't think you are too good to start at the bottom. Don't expect to walk into your dream job, and realize that what you are doing right after college is very likely *not* what you will be doing in ten years, unless you have gone on to graduate school for a specific field (such as medicine.) Be flexible, and be open to relocation.... read more

If you could choose, what city would you most like to live/work in? Why?

Vancouver, BC. I love the Pacific Northwest (including Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Victoria especially), because I love the city and would adore living in Canada.

How would your co-workers describe you?

Easy to get along with, resourceful, and willing to help out. I'm lucky to work in a very collabortive environment where each of us plays on the other's strengths.

Who are your role models?

As cliche as it sounds, my Mom. She has switched careers three times, the second time going from nursing to Nurse Recruiting. At age 53, she went back to school and got her Master's in Social Work to work with HIV/AIDS patients. I also admire a good friend of mine from college that has a degree in Music Theory and Composition and is now a full-time musician. He teaches at the local Community College, owns his own recording label, and is pursuing his artistic dream.... read more

My VERY first job was as a library page putting books away in the children's section of the local library. In college I loved working at the local Kinko's.
