I had no idea what I didn't know or what it takes to do business with a large company. It was a good decision to go to Verizon....

I moved into the position from a product management role at Verizon that focused on new product development. In this role I interacted with business development frequently and soon realized that I had an aptitude for that kind of work. Already knowing the players and their knowledge of my skills and work habits helped. It was a very easy transition. I think it would have been difficult to come into the job from outside of the company, though it can be done....
